Members of the National Early Childhood Education Committee (NECEC) held a consultative engagement with officials from the Department of Education in Machakos County to review key milestones achieved in Early Childhood Education and assess the progress made in strengthening ECDE programmes across the county.
The discussions focused on the identification and appropriate placement of learners with special needs, strengthening curriculum implementation, and enhancing the sustainability of school feeding programmes to improve learner retention and support holistic child development.
The engagement reaffirmed the County Government’s commitment to raising education standards and ensuring that every child receives a strong, inclusive, and nurturing foundation for lifelong learning.
